Gowalla is an excellent social app that allows you to check in to locations all around the world. In each location, you also have the opportunity to drop and pick up items to possibly become a founder of that location. It connects up to popular social media networks also to share your location with others.

Ever wonder what other stores are charging for a particular product? This iPhone app lets you scan the bar code to check other store's pricing! Red Laser by Occipital lets you scan bar codes and check prices from popular retail outlets. Works on a number of products (I've tested a bunch in this video) and is pretty easy to scan, even with unsteady hands.

I’ve been searching for a term to use here instead of “being in the books,” because really, my head is in my iPod touch today. Today’s review is an epic one. I recently was tipped to download the Kindle Application for iPhone. I didn’t have any doubts that this would be an awesome app. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Kindle itself, mainly because of the price. In the last episode of eThusiasm, I reviewed the Powermat. The Powermat is a flat piece of technology which charges your cell phones and other devices just by laying those devices on the Powermat... sort of.
