  • PlacePop Review
    by Erin
    Posted May 5th, 2010 at 1:12 pm
Review post courtesy of @Dr_Malcolm on Twitter. Ok, here I sit reviewing a website as a guest blogger for @ErinBlaskie, and of the 3 sites she was looking at I drew Placepop. It's basically a mish-mash of FourSquare and Twitter, and so far as I can tell, it doesn't do either of them very well. I signed up only to find the damned thing has a city in Ghana as the default hometown of everyone who signs up. It took me a whole 5 minutes to realise this though, and a further 2 to change it. I ...
  • Review – @Adobe Photoshop.com App
    by Chris
    Posted February 23rd, 2010 at 9:31 pm
I'm hoping that everyone is as excited to read this, as I was to use this app. I'd like to dedicate this app review to everyone of us nerds who can't go a day without using Photoshop! This app review is of the Photoshop.com application available on both the iPhone and iPod touch. Now, before we get started, I should note that this app has a partner in crime. It's not the full fledged Photoshop CS4 that comes in handy daily. In my opinion, this app is more for those editing quick pictures. To vie...

Gowalla is an excellent social app that allows you to check in to locations all around the world. In each location, you also have the opportunity to drop and pick up items to possibly become a founder of that location. It connects up to popular social media networks also to share your location with others. If you'd like to friend me (Erin Blaskie) on Gowalla, check out my profile here. Erin Blaskie demos the Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock by LexWare Labs. From their website: The Sleep Cycle alarm clock is a bio-alarm clock that analyzes your sleep patterns and wakes you when you are in the lightest sleep phase. Waking up in the lightest sleep phase feels like waking without an alarm clock - it is a natural way to wake up where you feel rested and relaxed. Sleep Cycle has become a huge success with a #1 paid app position in many countries, including Germany, Japan and Russia...
  • Review – Slacker
    by Chris
    Posted February 18th, 2010 at 7:19 pm
I think everybody has had the dream of being able have their own radio station where they could play just the best songs and drain out the excess. Slacker is a sweet and FREE radio application for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to browse through the stations already on the app, and search for particular songs or artists and songs similar to them. This is a MUST-HAVE application for not just music lovers, but for those who don't buy or can't afford using iTunes. If you're looking f...

  • Review- Follow-Up to Urban Daddy
    by Chris
    Posted February 12th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
So one of the things that I rarely see with an app I come across is e-mail interaction. Urban Daddy is one of the exceptions. You can check out my original review here. For those who haven't read about the application yet. Urban Daddy is a sweet and innovative new app for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to select some of the selections they have on the screen in means to give you suggestions of where you may want to eat for that particular part of the day. This is a GREAT app for tho...
