Gowalla is an excellent social app that allows you to check in to locations all around the world. In each location, you also have the opportunity to drop and pick up items to possibly become a founder of that location. It connects up to popular social media networks also to share your location with others. If you'd like to friend me (Erin Blaskie) on Gowalla, check out my profile here. • Review – Slacker
    by Chris

I think everybody has had the dream of being able have their own radio station where they could play just the best songs and drain out the excess. Slacker is a sweet and FREE radio application for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to browse through the stations already on the app, and search for particular songs or artists and songs similar to them. This is a MUST-HAVE application for not just music lovers, but for those who don't buy or can't afford using iTunes. If you're looking f...
  • Review- Follow-Up to Urban Daddy

So one of the things that I rarely see with an app I come across is e-mail interaction. Urban Daddy is one of the exceptions. You can check out my original review here. For those who haven't read about the application yet. Urban Daddy is a sweet and innovative new app for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to select some of the selections they have on the screen in means to give you suggestions of where you may want to eat for that particular part of the day. This is a GREAT app for tho...

    by Chris

It really seems to be a trend, that as I keep scheduling apps to be reviews, they just keep getting better and better. I can't imagine what my tenth review will be, let alone the 100th! Let's hope this trend stays hot. For about a week now, I've been looking at the Foursquare app available on the iPhone, Android, and several other platforms. It's a sweet social networking app that allows you to notify friends and other Foursquare users know when you've checked in to a restaurant, store, cafe, or...

Twitter is becoming increasingly important as a tool to use to promote your business or personal brand. But how can you tell if your Twitter-based social media program is effective? Wouldn't you like to know how many people your tweets are reaching, whether people are clicking on links in your tweets and how influential your Twitter audience is? URL shortening services and some smart web applications that use Twitter's open API make it easy. Here are three simple (and free) tools that I like t...
