  • Macgasm Video Podcast: Aperture Tethering, 1Password & a Duel
    by Erin
    Posted March 12th, 2010 at 8:24 am
The hosts at Macgasm brought me back to participate in another video podcast and here's what we did this time! From their site: In this episode we chat about Aperture 3, 1Password, and Apple Care. We also compare Run and Canabalt, and by compare I mean we raise our voices a couple octaves and argue which is better. The outtakes are pretty funny so make sure you stick around for them. Please subscribe to our videocast in iTunes. Make sure to check out Macgasm.net and follow them on ...

This past Monday, I was fortunate enough to be able to pop over to the Macgasm studios to co-host an episode with them. In the episode, we talk about the Mophie juice pack, jailbreaking your iPhone and chatting with your Facebook friends in iChat. Plus, there are some hilarious outtakes, some snippets about some apps that you need to get and a whole lot of fun! Check out the video podcast below and be sure to check out their website at www.Macgasm.net. If you're a Twitterholic (like me) yo...
  • Review – @Adobe Photoshop.com App
    by Chris
    Posted February 23rd, 2010 at 9:31 pm
I'm hoping that everyone is as excited to read this, as I was to use this app. I'd like to dedicate this app review to everyone of us nerds who can't go a day without using Photoshop! This app review is of the Photoshop.com application available on both the iPhone and iPod touch. Now, before we get started, I should note that this app has a partner in crime. It's not the full fledged Photoshop CS4 that comes in handy daily. In my opinion, this app is more for those editing quick pictures. To vie...
  • Review – Slacker
    by Chris
    Posted February 18th, 2010 at 7:19 pm
I think everybody has had the dream of being able have their own radio station where they could play just the best songs and drain out the excess. Slacker is a sweet and FREE radio application for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to browse through the stations already on the app, and search for particular songs or artists and songs similar to them. This is a MUST-HAVE application for not just music lovers, but for those who don't buy or can't afford using iTunes. If you're looking f...
  • Review- Follow-Up to Urban Daddy
    by Chris
    Posted February 12th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
So one of the things that I rarely see with an app I come across is e-mail interaction. Urban Daddy is one of the exceptions. You can check out my original review here. For those who haven't read about the application yet. Urban Daddy is a sweet and innovative new app for the iPhone (and iPod touch) that allows you to select some of the selections they have on the screen in means to give you suggestions of where you may want to eat for that particular part of the day. This is a GREAT app for tho...
  • Review – Urban Daddy

There are times that I often find myself in a bind when trying to decide what I should eat for dinner. Often times I just want some dessert if I’m alone, or with a date. I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t know the big city as well as some do, but the app I have here certainly helps getting used to things. Aside from a bunch of great ideas, I’m really digging the name… * drumroll * this installment is featuring Urban Daddy! Urban Daddy is an app that literally fell in to my lap. I w...
  • Review – TED: Ideas Worth Spreading
    by Chris
    Posted January 12th, 2010 at 6:59 pm
Everyday things around are getting shortened. Bennifer for Brad and Jenn. Brangelina for Brad and Angelina. And then there’s TED. TED is the app designed for ideas involving “Technology, Entertainment, & Design.” When I first heard about this app my thoughts went straight to something boring as past experiences were boring when it comes to this type of app. TED isn’t in the same class as other apps, not even in the same school. TED brings together articles, videos, and audio clips...
  • Review- Amazon’s Kindle for iPhone
    by Chris
    Posted December 30th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
I’ve been searching for a term to use here instead of “being in the books,” because really, my head is in my iPod touch today. Today’s review is an epic one. I recently was tipped to download the Kindle Application for iPhone. I didn’t have any doubts that this would be an awesome app. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Kindle itself, mainly because of the price. But the app for the iPod has the right price; FREE! This is a small app with a lot in it from digital cover to cover. Kindle is...
  • Review – Foursquare Application
    by Chris
    Posted December 23rd, 2009 at 3:54 am
It really seems to be a trend, that as I keep scheduling apps to be reviews, they just keep getting better and better. I can't imagine what my tenth review will be, let alone the 100th! Let's hope this trend stays hot. For about a week now, I've been looking at the Foursquare app available on the iPhone, Android, and several other platforms. It's a sweet social networking app that allows you to notify friends and other Foursquare users know when you've checked in to a restaurant, store, cafe, or...

This is the first of many segments to come as a partner to Erin Blaskie's "eThusiasm" blog. Every episode host, Erin, picks her Top Three favorite applications of the moment and gives a brief overview of said apps. Of the three, I'm taking my favorite, or the one that seems most interesting, and testing it our for a couple days in order to get a proper feel for it. After its trial run you can stop back here or on eThusiasm for the review! Enjoy the post and don't forget to click the thumbnails t...
